Two new labour complexes costing more than Rs 700 million will be constructed to facilitate the industrial workers of Sialkot. The proposed complexes will be established at Sialkot-Wazirabad road and Sialkot-Gondal road, and each complex will consist of a utility store, a school, dispensary and a community hall, official sources told APP here on Friday.
Sialkot is an important industrial city employing hundreds of workers with growing accommodation problems, which need to be addressed at the earliest, sources added. They said that two new high schools for girls will also be established at Sialkot and Daska, work on which will soon be implemented.
In addition to this, construction of a Social Security dispensary and a utility store has already been initiated in the existing labour colony to facilitate workers. Development work has been stepped up on the 100-bed Social Security Hospital at Sialkot, which includes modern equipment and treatment facilities, will soon become operational.
