Chief Justice LHC pays surprise visit to Aiwan-e-Adal

Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Syed Zahid Hussain Bokhari paid a surprise visit to Aiwan-e-Adal courts here on Saturday to get first hand information about the problems being faced by the lawyers and litigants and the response of the judges to them.
As the CJ was dressed in simple cloth, he could not be identified while inspecting each court, who came there without any protocol. During his visit the CJ remained busy in inquiring the lawyers and the litigants present in Aiwan-e-Adal about the problems being faced by them.
The CJ directed the Registrar and LHC's Member Inspection Team (MIT) to take necessary action against two judicial officers, who found absent from their courtrooms. The CJ also ordered the Registrar and MIT to provide all possible facilities including furniture and pure drinking water to the lawyers as well as the people visiting the courts.
Following the CJ's directions the registrar also ordered Town Nazim concerned to clean up the stagnant rainwater from the premises of Aiwan-e-Adal courts, which causes traffic mess and difficulties to the visitors.
