Punjab vice president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Malik Muhammad Afzal Khokhar MNA has said that all the promises with the people would be fulfilled and decisions on all important national issues would be taken in the parliament.
He said the restoration of deposed judges is on the top of PML-N priority list. Addressing a meeting here on Saturday, Malik said following the release of judges through the maiden order of prime minister, now the nation is waiting for their reinstatement.
He said decisions about the internal and external policies of the country would be taken in the parliament. He said the PML-N is committed to bring about changes in the country and steer the country out of the crisis created by the former rulers. He said credit for restoration of democracy in the country goes to politicians, lawyers and journalists besides civil society, which played important role for independence of judiciary and other institutions.
He said reinstatement of deposed judges, restoration of 1973 constitution and people's right to rule are top on the priority list of PML-N.
Meanwhile, PML-N central finance secretary Muhammad Pervaiz Malik has said that as 58-2B is against the spirit of 1973 constitution, this article is great question mark for Parliament. "An individual cannot be given authority to blackmail or dismiss parliament which is representative of 160 million people of the country," he said while addressing a meeting here on Saturday. He said all extra judicial amendments including 58-2b have to be scraped for strengthening and continuing democratic process in the country.
