Peshawar has received a record 166 mm rain till 5:00 pm on Saturday as a heavy downpour is intermittently lashing the North West Frontier Province NWFP, Met office said.
Heavy rain that turned the weather cold was also reported in Saidu Sharif (56mm), Risalpu (95mm), Dir (76mm), Malam Jabba (54mm), Kohat (37mm), Daroosh (34mm), DI Khan (20mm) and Balakot Masehra (12mm) till 8:00 am on Saturday, met office said. The met official forecast more rains with thunderstorm in scattered places of the NWFP during the next 24 hours. Dark and thick clouds hovered over the city throughout the day.
