Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 200,448 tonnes cargo including 132,882 tonnes import and 67,566 tonnes export cargo during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday. The cargo comprised of 185,448 tonnes dry cargo including 109,757 tonnes general cargo; 23,688 tonnes Wheat; 36,605 tonnes Coal; 15,398 tonnes Cement and 15,000 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Ten ships namely Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Hyundai Highway, Bunga Kenari, YM Moji, Kota Perdana, Orient Stride, Champion Polar, Chemstar King, Rainbow-1 and Provider sailed out to sea during the report period.
Thirteen vessels viz Al-Mansourah, Seabulk Hope, Hyundai Highway, YM Moji, Bunga Kenari, Kota Perdana, Oel Shreyas, Wan Hai-301, Conti Germany, China Star, Ocean Coral, Rainbow-1 and Chemstar King are currently at the berths. Six ships namely Wan Hai-301, Lady Rana, Ocean Coral, Conti Germany, Hyderabad and China Star expected to sail on Monday.
Five vessels viz Golden Top, Lady Chiara, Mol Ability, Faith-1 and Caribbean Carrier due to arrive on Monday, while six ships namely Cap Colorado, Kapitan Byankin, Apl Brisbane, Ninth Ocean, Saelo-1 and Lucky Arrow are due to arrive on Tuesday.

The cargo comprised of 13,586 tonnes Diesel Oil; 8,052 tonnes Edible Oil; 16,020 tonnes Wheat; 8,702 tonnes Coal; 8 tonnes Cement and 4,365 tonnes containerised cargo. Two ships namely MV Advance Victoria and Sima Pars sailed out to sea on Monday, during last 24 hours, while another vessel viz MV Ocean Morning is expected to sail on the same day.
A total of eight ships namely Donna V, Maersk Corolina, Al Soor, Nedlloyd Oceania, Al-Salam-II, Grigoroussa-I, Theoniki and Steel Might carrying Fertilisers, Containers, Diesel Oil, Furnace Oil and Wheat respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV Sima Pars, Ataqa, Chemstar King, MV Ocean Morning, MV Skua, MT Advance Victoria and MV Lady Giovi are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Edible Oil, Wheat, Diesel Oil and Coal respectively during last 24 hours. Three ships namely Maersk Corolina, Nedlloyd Oceania and Grigoroussa-I due to take berths at Container Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Monday. One vessel viz Al-Soor-II due to arrive on Monday.
