Ufone signs Rs 4.5 billion term loan agreement

Ufone has signed a Rs 4.5 billion Syndicated Term Loan Facility agreement here on Saturday as per an aggressive rollout plan in Pakistan. The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Habib Bank Limited (HBL) have jointly advised and arranged the facility.
With this agreement, the banking sector has yet again shown confidence in Pakistan's leading telecom company and offered support to further expand its network, both in terms of capacity and coverage in existing and new cities.
Signatories of the agreement were the President and CEO Ufone, Abdul Aziz, Chairman and President NBP, Ali Raza and President and CEO HBL Zakir Mahmood. The Group Executive, Corporate Banking Group, HBL, Sima Kamil, Group Chief, Corporate and Investment Banking Group, NBP, Masood Karim, CFO Ufone, Nadeem Khan, and GM Treasury Ufone, Ehtashamullah Khan were also present at the signing ceremony. Ufone is an Etisalat Group Company having the second largest cellular operator base in Pakistan with more than 16million customers.
Ufone services cover all major cities, towns, villages and tehsil head quarters in Pakistan. The company employs more than 2200 people and operates with a network of more than 365 franchises and 25 company-owned customer service centres. It also has a nation-wide distribution network of 150,000 outlets.-PR
