Chief Commissioner visits rural areas to check flour supply

Chief Commissioner (CC) Islamabad, Hamid Ali Khan visited Tarnol and Bhara Kau on Saturday and checked the availability of flour (Atta) in the rural areas of Islamabad. The chief commissioner Islamabad also directed the district food controller to ensure smooth supply of Atta in the rural areas.
On the directive of the chief commissioner, two additional sale points have been set up in Bhara Kau and Tarnol to facilitate the consumers. The chief commissioner spoke to the local community on the occasion and listened to their problems. He issued directions to the concerned authorities on the spot to solve their problems immediately and report him. Chief Commissioner Islamabad said that shortage of Atta in any area would be removed instantly. He said that Razakars of civil defence have been deployed at sale points and mobile Atta truck service.
Meanwhile district food controller during raid at Rawal Flour Mill has seized 200 Atta bags hoarded for profiteering and further legal action in this regard is underway. A profiteer in Shaheen Market I-10/1 was also arrested for overcharging 20 kg Atta bag.
