Peoples Muslim League chief and former AJK Prime Minister Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has said that the forthcoming Indian-sponsored elections drama in the Indian held Jammu Kashmir state could never be the substitute of the plebiscite in the internationally-acknowledged disputed held state at any cost.
Talking to APP from Britain Sunday he was commenting over the forthcoming mock elections drama being staged in the bleeding vale of Kashmir by India by force at the gunpoint against the wishes of the people of the state.
Sultan urged upon the global fraternity to take immediate action against India for trying to stage the farcical and sham elections drama in the internationally-recognised disputed Indian-occupied Jammu Kashmir state.
"Since Kashmir exists in the UN charter as the unresolved global dispute and its status as the internationally-acknowledged disputed state, India has no moral, legal and constitutional jurisdiction to hold the farce elections to the Indian parliament in occupied Jammu Kashmir under the supervision of the India's installed puppet government and under the Indian constitution", he said.
He further said that India can not mislead the external world about the true picture and gravity of the prevailing critical conditions in Kashmir through manoeuvring the mock elections drama in the held territory.
Barrister Sultan said that India, in fact, wanted to divert the attention of the world community from the utter need of the early peaceful settlement of the Kashmir issue, a permanent threat to the peace in South Asia, by raising the bogey of holding the so-called polls drama against the wishes of the people in occupied Jammu Kashmir who have already launched the indigenous struggle for the liberation of the motherland from Indian yoke besides deciding to boycott the elections drama.
