10 killed in road mishaps

Ten persons including four of a family were killed, while more than 50 injured in three different road accidents here on Sunday. The first accident took place on Jhang-Bhakkar road near Pakka road, where a passenger bus turned turtle owing to over-speeding while negotiating a blind turn.
Resultantly, six passengers were killed and 40 injured, nine of them are said to be admitted in Jhang, Bhakkar and Faisalabad's hospitals in critical condition.
Three passengers of the ill-fated bus died on the spot while three others succumbed to their injuries on the way to hospital. In another accident, four members of a family were killed in a head on collision between a car and a truck.
The car was going to Lahore from Faisalabad and when it reached near Feroz Wattoan on Sheikhupura road it collided with a truck. In third accident, Rohi Express rammed into a trawler at an unguarded railway crossing at Jhang-Faisalabad Road on Sunday and hit a car while slicing the trawler into two parts.
However, the people in the car remained unhurt. Five compartments of the train separated and the front portion of the engine was damaged and the driver injured seriously.
