A three-member bench of the Supreme Court Monday dismissed the petition of Sardar Akhtar Mengal, former Chief Minister of Balochistan, against Presiding Officer Anti Terrorism Court No V, Karachi for initiating case against him by separating his case file from the other accused.
The bench of the Supreme Court comprising Justice Qaim Jan Khan, Justice Sheikh Hakim Ali and Justice Syed Sakhi Hussain Bukhari heard the case in detail and dismissed the petition after rejecting arguments of the counsel of the petitioner.
Special Prosecutor General Mian Abdul Rauf appeared before the court on behalf of the state.
