The Karachi Port handled 127,130 tonnes cargo including 97,208 tonnes import, 29,922 tonnes export cargo and 4,093 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargoes comprised of 69,195 tonnes dry cargo including 57,136 tonnes general cargo; 3,681 tonnes Wheat; 2,500 tonnes Rock Phosphate; 2,573 tonnes Canola; 2,181 tonnes Cement; 1,124 tonnes Sugar and 57,935 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Eight ships namely MT Johar, Chemstar Brave, Hong Ze Hu, Maria L, Al Rahalah 1, Oel Spirit, Lucky Arrow and Gentle sailed out to sea during the report period.
Five vessels viz Chemstar Brave, Bravo P, Bunga Terasek, Bulk Arrow and Sinar Bintan are currently at the berths. Three ship namely Loa, Bunga Terasek and Sinar Bintan expected to sail on Tuesday, while another vessel viz Manisamut Naree is expected to sail on Wednesday.
Four vessels viz Artistry, Apl Pusan, Apl Dallas and Sahar due to arrive on Tuesday, while three ships namely Kapitan Byankin, Hyundai Future and As Mars are due to arrive on Wednesday.
Two ships namely MV Artistry, and CV Maersk Georgia sailed out to sea on Saturday morning, during last 24 hours, while another vessel MT Chembulk Ulsan is expected to sail on Tuesday. A total of five ships namely Advance Victoria, Scan Atlantic, Nedlloyd America, Sibi and Hyderabad carrying Diesel Oil, General Cargo, Containers and Rice respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV Maersk Georgia, CV Shadwan Island, MV Donna V, MV Theoniki, MT Chembulk Ulsan, MV Artistry and MT Cerigo are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Wheat, Fertiliser, Palm Oil and Crude Oil respectively during last 24 hours. Container vessel Nedlloyd America is due to take berth at Container Terminal on Tuesday.
Two ships namely CV ACX Tsubaki and MT Star Dust with Containers and Palm Oil are due to arrive on Tuesday, while two more ships namely MV Kaghan and MV OXL Victory carrying Iron Ore and General Cargo due to arrive on Wednesday. Four vessels viz Al Wajba, Lahore Express, Nan Hai and Christina-L carrying Containers and Coal are also due to arrive.
