Senator S. M. Zafar on Thursday called for preparing a comprehensive package to resolve the current political crisis confronting the country. Talking to a private television channel, he said: "we should provide opportunity to the political parties to evolve a plan for restoration of the deposed judges."
He said those political parties had still not decided whether the judges should be restored through a resolution or the constitutional amendment. He said this was a tough challenge but hoped that the government would be able to resolve amicably the issue. He said the parliament should resolve the issue of judges' restoration with two-thirds majority to avoid such problems in the future. He said: "We should move forward with reconciliation rather than confrontation."
