Magsi puts food officials on toes to check wheat movement

Provincial Food Minister Nawabzada Mir Nadir Ali Magsi, has said the government machinery is working round-the-clock to check smuggling of wheat and he was being kept informed about the same. He announced that wheat procurement target will soon be attained and people of Sindh would be rid of atta crisis.
Nadir Magsi said he has formed special teams, which are paying surprise visit to wheat procurement centres to monitor their functioning besides helping the Food Department officials in checking wheat movement.
"We will not sit idle until wheat procurement target is achieved as people are pinning great hopes on us". He warned that if any officer would show laxity in solving the problems of people, he will be sent home. "If we can ruin our sleeps, we know well how to make the officials work". Meanwhile the minister has himself started surprise visits to check the performance of Food Department personnel as well movement of wheat.
