22 Apr, 2008

Switzerland's Roger Federer reinforced his lead in the ATP rankings, released Monday, after winning for the first time this year at Estoril Sunday. Spaniard Rafael Nadal is still in second place ahead of third placed Novak Djokovic of Serbia.
Frenchman Richard Gasquet meanwhile was the only one of the ATP's top ten players to move up the rankings despite not playing last week. Despite winning in Valencia, Spaniard David Ferrer remained in fifth place behind Russian Nikolay Davydenko, in fourth.
Another Spaniard, Marcel Granollers-Pujol, leapt 30 places up the rankings to 54th after securing his first career ATP win at Houston where he beat American James Blake in the final.
