05 May, 2008

Despite clear cut orders of Prime Minister, Pakistan Railway has not restored railway section from Badin to Hyderabad yet. However, PR official attributed the delay in restoration of the section to unavailability of budget.
According to the reports, Speaker National Assembly Dr Fahmida Mirza requested the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to issue instruction for restoration of Badin-Hyderabad Railway section in order to provide relief to the peoples of Badin district.
The Prime Minister directed the railway authorities to take immediate steps in this regard and restore the section by May 01. However, the directives of the PM were flouted by the PR authorities and no work has been executed on the project.
