Rescue 15 provides relief to 635,815 distress calls in 2008

Rescue 15 Police received 635,815 distress calls during the year 2008 and provided prompt relief to the citizens on these calls, the police sources said.
Out of these received calls, 627,079 were related to general information calls, 253 to ambulances service, 312 calls to fire brigade service and 7,910 calls were related to falcons and mobile patrolling. All the distress calls were attended on the spot.
Islamabad Rescue 15 also received 184 calls related to missing persons and reunited 79 missing senior citizens and children with their families during this period. Rescue 15 also got verification of 2,128 vehicles. It also received 93 calls related to forensic lab and 559 calls related to social work.
