Talking to newsmen after assuming charge as DPO on Wednesday, he said that Lumberdari and Chowkidari system would be revived and turn by turn watch (Theekri Pehra) system would also be introduced to protect the life and property of the people and to keep vigilant eyes on the suspects.
The DPO said that corrupt, dishonest, negligent and irregular policemen would not be tolerated. There was no space for such elements in the police force, he added. Shehzad said that he had issued clear instructions to all SDPOs and SHOs not to register any case under political pressure and serve the masses honestly and properly.
