The ministry of law and justice has moved a summary to foreign ministry seeking the United Nations probe into assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, minister for Foreign Affairs, Shah Mehmood Qureshi told media on Wednesday.
The summary, prepared in context of the resolution passed by the National Assembly, is under study of the foreign ministry and it would soon be referred to the Prime Minister for seeking international community's support, Qureshi said.
"The Prime Minister would formally request the UN for investigation," the minister added. Replying to a question, the minister said that the government was taking serious efforts for release of the abducted ambassador, Tariq Azizuddin, however, he could not fix any accurate date for his release. "The nation especially family of Tariq Azizuddin will hear a good new soon," he added.
"We can not reveal the details of talks due to sensitivity of the matter," he said. Furthermore, he said composite dialogue process between Pakistan and India would resume on May 21 as experts from across the border are scheduled to review the progress made so far in Confidence Building Measures (CBMs).
