Rs 1.5 billion allocated for uplift work in Faisalabad

City District Government has sanctioned Rs 1.5 billion for public development works with the financial support of industrialists and traders of the district. This was disclosed by City District Nazim, Rana Zahid Tauseef while addressing the members of Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) at a handing over ceremony of machinery to Liver Centre.
He said that during the last one and half-year, Rs 320 million have been provided for the completion of projects including construction of Bypass and installation of Traffic Lights. Tauseef said that the community will contribute 20 percent of the total allocation for the CCB programme while remaining 80 percent will be provided by the City District Government.
He said that provision of machinery worth Rs 20 million to liver centre was part of the same programme. He disclosed that the City Government was planning to establish a general hospital on 25 acres of land, where state of the art liver institute would also be set up.
Chairman PTEA, Mian Tahir Ishaque Bharara apprised the meeting of the projects completed by the members of PTEA. He said that the members were planning to construct additional rooms for the liver centre.
He appreciated the financial assistance of the PTEA members and their spirit and interest to serve humanity. The ceremony was also addressed by Sh Mukhtar Ahmad Chairman Garment City, and Chairman Achi Sehat CCB, Dr Zahid Yasin Hashmi Head lever centre and Sh Ashfaq Ahmad Chairman Dry Port.
