Hearing of Zardari's appeal put off till May 13

Sindh High Court (SHC) Justice Bin Yamin Khan on Friday put off hearing of two revision applications, filed by PPPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and HBFC former chairman Hussain Haqqani respectively, till May 13. One of these was put off after hearing arguments of advocate Mian Khan Malik, counsel for co-accused Wajid Shamsul Hasan in Container case/ Artifacts smuggling case.
The case pertains to alleged smuggling of seven huge wooden boxes containing artifacts and other precious items for Surrey Palace allegedly owned by Asif Ali Zardari and slain Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto. Haqqani was alleged of allowing a deposit of rupees 10 million with a little known "Asset Bank." Adnan A Karim advocate, counsel for applicant prayed to the court to hear him but matter was adjourned till May 13 due to paucity of time.
