Bannu-Miranshah road in miserable condition

12 May, 2008

The Bannu-Miranshah Road, badly affected and destroyed by remote control bombs, is creating inconvenience to the commuters, locals said on Sunday. They said that due to the negligence of Communication and Works (C&W) department and administration, the distance of 65 kilometers is covered in two hours.
The condition of the bridges, built by the British before the independence of the country, is not good and may cause any incident. The other roads in Miranshah, Mirali and Bakkakhel are badly destroyed due to the remote control bomb attacks and helicopters bombardments on the security forces. The C&W department and the administration are planning to embezzle the money in the road construction.
