Environment excellence awards ceremony on June 20

The National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) is organising the Fifth Annual Environment Excellence Awards (AEEA-2008) ceremony here on June 20. This is the premium environment event of Pakistan supported by United Nations, Ministry of Environment, City government and many other organisations.
According to the organisers, the awards are designed to recognise and promote the organisations which make outstanding contribution to sustainable development. They aim to highlight policies, practices, processes and products from all sectors of business in the country, which help achieve economic and social development without detriment to the environment and natural resources upon the quality of which continued human activity and further development depend.
THE AEEA ARE GIVEN IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES: Agriculture, allied industries, alternate energy, automobile industry, aviation, cement industry, chemicals, energy, engineering, fertiliser industry, fishing and livestock, textile, food and beverages, hospital, housing and development, oil and gas exploration, print & electronic media, pharmaceuticals, ports and shipping, solid waste management, sports, sugar industry, and telecom.
