Government urged to lift wheat movement ban

Pakistan Flour Mills Association has demanded of the government to lift ban on inter-district and provincial transportation of wheat. The Association's President Habib-ur-Rehman Leghari told a general body meeting on Tuesday that the permit system for flour millers was neither justified nor acceptable.
"There should be free movement of wheat allowed to every citizen as the ban is severe violation of the human rights," he added. The meeting also constituted a supreme council, to be headed by the president, for suggesting ways to eradicate the flour crisis in the country and make cordial working relationship between the government and the association.
