As many as 216 students of Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education (DIHE) Karachi were conferred bachelors and masters degrees in various disciplines at 2nd convocation of the institute held here on Friday. Nine students of different departments were also awarded gold medals.
While prominent poet and intellectual, Jamiluddin Aali was conferred an honorary doctorate degree in appreciation of his services. Speaking at the occasion, Sindh Minister for Youth Affairs, Faisal Sabzwari said that the new government would try its best to fulfil the nation's expectations. He said that the government would welcome positive input and criticism from the public and urged the students to play an active role in nation's building.
Chairman DIHE, Abdullah Dadabhoy said that the institute is striving to provide quality education to its students. He urged the faculty members and students to work hard to enable DIHE make place in top-100 universities of the world. He said that the Dadabhoy Foundation has acquired 250 acres land at Hawksbay for Dadabhoy International University project and construction work on the said project would be started soon.
