A senior lawyer has claimed that all the deposed judges of Sindh High Court have turned down federal government's proposal of taking fresh oath without the reinstatement of deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.
According to Salahuddin Gandapur, a member of Sindh Bar Council, all the 16 deposed judges decided at a meeting that they would not rejoin courts without Justice Chaudhry's restoration. The meeting was held at the residence of deposed Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Sabihuddin Ahmed three days ago, he added. The deposed SHC CJ could not be reached for his comments.
