On the special directions of Punjab Minister of Auqaf, the Auqaf Secretary and the department of Religious Affairs have launched an anti-encroachment drive to remove illegal occupation from the waqf land. On Friday, a team of Auqaf dept retrieved three Kanals and seven Marlas of land from Education Town, Hanjerwal removed the illegal construction.
A spokesman of the department said that some people had occupied the land on the basis of fake documents.
