17 May, 2008

The rapid task force of Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Friday conducted raids on several flourmills and distribution centres working across the Federal Capital to examine the quality of flour being produced there.
Senior Director Health Services, Dr Saeed Ahmed said that a task force working under his supervision raided 21 flourmills across the city to ensure production and supply of standard flour to the customers. During the raid, the force took flour samples from Sihala Flourmills, Nafees Flourmills, Mahboob Flourmills, and distribution centres in sectors G-6, G-7, G-9 and I-11.
The force took samples and sent them to the laboratory for examination and any further action would be taken after the directorate receives reports on these samples. Dr Saeed vowed to continue this drive under which raids would be conducted on daily basis on flourmills, distribution centres and shops. He said strict action would be taken against the people found in forgery and adulteration.
