The Karachi Port handled 135,123 tonnes cargo including 84,607 tonnes import, 50,516 tonnes export cargo and 2,856 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The cargoes comprised of 84,588 tonnes dry cargo including 58,406 tonnes general cargo; 26,182 tonnes Bulk Cargo and 50,535 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Y.M.Moji, Kota Perdana, Rhoneborg, Soon Fu, Sima Pride, Normed Amsterdam and Blida sailed out to sea during the report period. Seven vessels viz Singa Ace, Fructidor, Oel Mumbai, Creek, Soon Fu, M.T. Johar and Gemini occupied the berths during the reported period.
Four ships namely Lucky Arrow, Tal Rong 7, Oel Trust and Gemini are expected to sail on Saturday, while seven vessels viz Jin Chuan Men, Ahmad Junior, M.T. Johar, Orient Stride, Hansa Liberty, Fructidor and Amwaj Karoon are expected to sail on Sunday.
Five vessels viz Arabian Wind, Hansa Liberty, Harmony, Sima Sahba and Wilson due to arrive on Saturday, while four ships namely Wan Hai 301, Mitra Bhum, Akili and Al Aqeela 1 are due to arrive on Sunday. Six ships namely Rising Om, China Star, Mol Ability, Markella, Smarty and Patton-1 are due to arrive on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 12,750 tonnes Palm Oil; 6,811 tonnes Iron Ore; 367 tonnes Cement; 11,644 tonnes Coal, 3,016 tonnes Chemicals; 21,161 tonnes Furnace Oil and 51,669 tonnes Containerised Cargo. Three ships namely CV New Delhi Express, MT Vema Ocean and MT Golden Glory sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while three ships viz CV Maersk Novazzano, MT Qem Star and MV Sea Mild are expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of seven ships namely Msc Mandy, Golden Oceania, Bunga Melati Satu, Al-Soor-II, Oversea Rein Mar, Sao Paulo-II and Nord Vision carrying Containers, Palm Oil, Diesel Oil, Cement, and Iron Ore respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Nine vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, CV CMA CGM Tulip, MV Bernice, MT Golden Glory, MT Doris, MV Sea Mild, MT Qem Star, MT Vema Ocean and MV Kaghan currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Palm Oil, Coal, Chemicals, Furnace Oil and Iron Ore respectively during the report period.
Three ships namely CV MSC Mandy, MT Al-Soor-II and MV Sao Paulo-II are expected to take berths at QICT, Fotco and M-Wharf-2 respectively on Saturday. Oil tanker MT Chrisopigi Lady due to arrive on Saturday. Three ships namely CV MSC Denise, CV Sima Paya and MT Yanaseni are due to arrive on Sunday.
