Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) Chief Muhammad Arif Suria said that the special children can not be neglected in national and social development process so it was the joint responsibility of the society to pay attention towards the education, rehabilitation and betterment of the special children.
Addressing to the annual prize distribution/parents day ceremony at Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium (Faisalabad Art Council) held under the aegis of an NGO Tanzeem Al-Lisan, CPLC Chief said that special persons could be brought into the mainstream of national development by making them self-reliant through joint efforts of the community.
He said that the voluntary organisations rendering welfare services for the education and rehabilitation of special children were doing great noble job. The community should come forward for shouldering this responsibility for upbringing the special children in congenial and conducive environment for enabling them to perform their specific role in the prosperity and progress of the country, he added.
He lauded the efforts of Tanzeem Al-Lisan in organising such programmes for the welfare of special children. He appreciated the skits, tableau, national songs and other variety programmes presented by the special students of Tanzeem Al-Lisan. The CPLC Chief announced to adopt ten poor and needy special students and financial assistance for the NGO.
Chairman Pasban Group of IT Major Shahnawaz (Retd) said the special children were our common responsibility and we should realise our duties to make them enable to lead their lives in normal manner. Appreciating the achievements and commitment of the Tanzeem Al-Lisan, he announced financial grant for it.
DO Social Welfare Abdul Qudus Akhtar said that the Tanzeem Al-Lisan had won laurels in short span of time since its inception by rendering valuable services for the education and training of the special children which was worth-emulating for the other NGOs.
