The NWFP Governor, Owais Ahmed Ghani, has stressed the need of an aggressive, meaningful and organised role of private entrepreneurs in housing development sector. To help meet the rapidly growing demand in the society in this respect but also to ease the ever increasing civic problems especially in wake of unorganised urbanisation in the province.
Addressing as the chief guest at the earth breaking ceremony of a housing project; the "Green Acres" at Mardan, the Governor said, in fact the participation of private sector in this highly vital sector of life has become a world phenomena and keeping in view the prevailing state of demand for new housing schemes in this province, there exists every possibility for full success.

Our province, especially the provincial metropolitan, Owais Ahmed Ghani said, is at the threshold of becoming international trade centre and fuel corridor and things have already started moving in positive direction to achieve the desired goals.
The government, the Governor said, is quite conscious of its responsibilities in this respect and every effort is underway to meet the demands from housing and urban development point of view. However, the Governor said, we also have to keep in mind, the ground realities and give due thoughts to the future needs and requirements in all respects.
Welcoming the launching of "Green Acres", the Governor said, being a mega project in the private sector in this specialised sector, it is indeed a good beginning which, he added, would definitely prove quite useful to attract more aggressive entrepreneurship in this field. "There is dire need to launch quality housing projects in different parts of the province and government would extend every possible support in this respect", he said.
Earlier welcoming the Governor, the Managing Director of the construction company, "Karkon", Syed Ashfaque Hussain while highlighting the importance and scope of the project said, that the scheme, being developed on the pattern of Islamabad, is ideally located, near Sheikh Maltoon Township, which provides direct access to the provincial and federal capitals through motorway at the drive of 20 and 50 minutes respectively.
