Food Department Bahawalpur has achieved its initial wheat procurement target fixed for six tehsils of the district. According to Deputy Director Food Bahawalpur region, 215,000 metric tons was the initial target has been achieved. He said, now, 225,000 (two lakh twenty-five thousand) metric tons extra wheat would be purchased and this target would also be achieved successfully.
