Corn and soyabean futures on the Chicago Board of Trade rallied early Wednesday as crude oil climbed above $130 a barrel and the dollar weakened, traders said. Given the expanding biofuels industry, corn and soyabeans tend to track the energy markets.
July corn was up 6 cents at $6.95-3/4 per bushel and July soya was 8 cents higher at $13.39-1/2 by 9:50 am CDT.
