Kisan Board Pakistan (KBP) President Sardar Zafar Hussain Khan has warned the government of lodging dacoity case against it if police raids on the houses of farmers for forcibly seizing wheat were not stopped. In a statement issued on Thursday he also warned that responsibility of any reaction to these raids would rest on the government.
He said it was the will of the farmers that they wanted to sell their wheat or not. He regretted that the government could give billions of rupees additional to foreign farmers for importing wheat but forcibly taking away wheat from local farmers.
