Scouts urged to keep purity in thinking, speaking

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Director Administration and Provincial Scout Commissioner Mohammed Hanif Pathan has urged the scouts to have purity in what they think and speak.
This purity, he said was also needed in their character and that each scout be friendly to everyone. "If they would keep people;s interest above self and avoid contradictions in what they speak and act, then hopefully the global scouting brotherhood will be in our reach".
He stated this at the inaugural session of All Pakistan PIA Scouts Training Conference held at Provincial Headquarter at PIA Town here on Friday. Addressing the concluding session held here the same day, Senior Assistant Provincial Commissioner Agha Shahi said scout's recreational, training and healthy activities made the children useful citizens.
He said principles of scouting played an important role towards development and improvement of society. Some 56 scout leaders from Karachi, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Peshawar Scout headquarters attended the conference.
In the conference, recommendations were framed for Presidential Gold Medal and other awards besides badges of higher ranks in the light of reports of training committee from all the scout districts. The conference was organised to utilise the technical capabilities and expertise of training team keeping the new situations and modern trends in view. The Youth Forum and training policy also came under consideration at the conference.
