In occupied Kashmir, Senior Kashmiri Hurriyat Leader Syed Ali Gilani has said that India was using all the tactics to affect the seriousness and legitimacy of Kashmir dispute. In a statement in Srinagar, Syed Ali Gilani said that Kashmir was a disputed territory and its disputed nature was even accepted at the international level, Kashmir Media Service reported.
The Hurriyat leader viewed that India was doing everything to deceive the international community about the prevailing situation in the occupied territory and conceal the gross human rights violations committed by its troops there.
Referring to complete shutdown on Saturday, Syed Ali Gilani maintained that objective of the strike was to convey the message to the entire world that India had no right to occupy Kashmir against the will of the people. He also said that if he got an invitation from Pakistani government, he might consider it.
