Iftikhar accorded warm welcome in Faisalabad

The caravan of deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry reached Faisalabad late Saturday night, Aaj TV reported. According to the channel the caravan took about eight hours to reach Faisalabad. Deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was warmly welcomed by lawyers and members of the civil society on his arrival.
He was received by thousands of enthusiastic political workers of different political parties, peoples from civil society and lawyers community. Roses were pelted on the jeep of deposed Chief Justice. President Supreme Court Bar Association joined Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry at Kallar Kahar. Aitzanz was late due to attending the meeting of Central Executive Committee of Pakistan People's Party.
People rejoiced and a grand show of firework was continuing, the report added 'Go Musharraf Go' slogans were chanted on this occasion and thousands of people marched with the jeep of deposed Chief Justice. Members of Police commandos, Elite Force and Police Panther Squad were moving with the jeep of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary.
Lawyers' leader Ali Ahmad Kurd was confident that the lawyers' movement has entered the decisive stage and all the deposed Judges would be restored before June 10. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary was also accorded a rousing welcome when his caravan reached at Kallar Kahar interchange. When caravan of the deposed Chief Justice arrived at Pindi Bhattian, Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah offered bullet-proof car to the deposed CJ but he refused the offer. Punjab government offered full protocol of the Chief Justice of the Pakistan to the deposed CJ. The deposed CJ had to halt for some time at Allied Chowk due to rainfall.
