Rally against killing of journalist

The activists of political parties including PPP, PML-N, Jamaat-i-Islami, Tehreek-i-Insaaf and MQM took part in a protest demonstration organised by the electronic media against the assassination of Muhammad Ibrahim of Express News outside the press club here on Saturday.
Trade unions were also took part in the protest. The protestors were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the assassination of the journalist. The protestors also blocked the Abdali Road outside the press club. They demanded of the government to institute probe into this mater and arrest the assassins at the earliest.
The rally led by President Multan Press Club office-bearers Shakil Anjum, Jamshed Rizwani, Mazhar Javed and Rao Shamim Asghar. Information secretary PPP Punjab, Khalid Hanif Lodhi, Khurshid Khan, Athar Mumtaz of PML-N, vice president PML-N Punjab, Qurban Fatima, Sultana Shaheen, Bashir Khan, Muhammad Usman and many others were also present in the rally.
Earlier Qura'an Khwani was offered in Multan Press Club. Journalists, on this occasion vowed to continue their struggle till the arrest of the assassins of Muhammad Ibrahim. They also said that they would announce their next strategy very soon.
