Pakistani team to attend town planning workshop in Beijing

A 3-member delegation from Pakistan is attending a 3-week long workshop on town planning for developing countries here. The Pakistani delegates include Syed Hasan Rizvi, Project Director, CDA, Shahid Nadeem Berlas, Joint Secretary National Reconstruction Bureau (NRB) and Ms Fahmida Mushtaq from Punjab.
In all forty-five participants from twenty four developing countries from across the globe are participating in the workshop in which they would share the experience of the functioning of local government system in their respected countries.
Pakistan delegation also submitted a comprehensive report about the functioning of the town government systems in its country. The workshop included lectures on town government system in China and its comparison with other countries of the world, visits to historical and cultural sites, a week-long study visits to Shaxian and Huagzhou provinces.
The delegates from the developing countries were also briefed about HU KOU system of China based on Land Administration, Public Finances and Social Development. The Workshop started on May 16 will conclude on June 6.
