Call to achieve wheat procurement target in a week

The DCO, Major Azam Suleman Khan (Retd) has urged upon the local staff of Food Department to gear up their efforts for achieving the remaining target of wheat procurement in the district within a week. Presiding over a meeting, he warned that disciplinary action would be taken against the staff failing to meet the assigned target.
Khan reviewed the individual performance of the Inspectors deputed at the wheat procurement centres and reprimanded those who could not attain the target of 60 percent wheat procurement. The DCO, in the meeting also appreciated the performance of the Food Department staff who succeeded in achieving the required target and procured more that 60 percent asked them to put their energies for achieving 100 percent target.
The DCO announced special prizes by the district government for the staff members showing excellent performance in wheat procurement campaign saying that their performance would be again reviewed after one weak during a meeting.
Further, he warned of stern action against those who would fail to achieve the assigned target. The Deputy Director, Food, Rana Saeed Ahmad Khan apprised the DCO of the pace of wheat procurement campaign and action taken against the hoarders and illegal movement of wheat. The DO (Revenue), Amar Sultan Taren, Senior Administrative Officer, Liaqat Ali Chatha, District Food Controller, Rana Khuda Dad Khan, Food Inspectors and Supervisors attended the meeting.
