Punjab Senior Minister Raja Riaz Ahmad has said the government is committed to the welfare of all human beings, adding the government respects the followers of all religions who enjoy all social as well as constitutional rights in the country. Pakistan has good track record with regard to welfare of its minorities, he said.
Talking to a delegation of religious minorities, belonging to Faisalabad, at his residence, here on Sunday, he said the minorities in Pakistan are safe and free and they have complete freedom to lead their lives according to their respective religions and faith. He said that the minorities have equal rights and they are playing their due role in every society.
Raja Riaz assured the delegation that the government is fully cognisant of their welfare and necessary steps were being taken to ameliorate the lot of the common man.
