SHC suspends order

A bench of Sindh High Court (SHC) comprising Justice Qaiser Iqbal and Justice Syed Mahmood Alam Rizvi on Monday suspended a single judge order of dismissing a suit filed vis-à-vis an alleged empty plot in congested Kharadar area. The order was passed in a suit and the plaintiff/appellant was fined one million rupees for wasting precious time of the court in frivolous litigation.
The controversy is over a plot GK-9-B, Ghulam Hussain quarters, Kharadar Karachi which was auctioned by KMC. Rizwan Edhi, Javed Iqbal and Ardeshir Cowasjee filed the suit maintaining that three water pumps have been installed by the owners. They maintained that water is accumulating on the road and polluting the environment, become a mosquito breeding spot endangering health of the people. The defendants, Amanullah and Zain-ul-Abideen, maintained that they were being targeted for no reason.
