Sultan Qaboos University, UAF sign MoU

Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Muscat (Oman) and University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in order to accelerate jointly the pace to enhance standard of education, research by improving institutional capabilities and professional skills.
A ceremony, in this connection, was held at SQU, Muscat, on Sunday, in which representatives of both the universities signed MoU. According to MoU both the universities will exchange the Undergraduate and Postgraduate students for course/research work as part of their degree programmes.
Likewise, exchange of faculty/researchers for lecturing, demonstrations, technology transfer and participating in seminars and conferences would also be initiated. Both the Universities will also strive for creation of opportunities for the development of mutual research interests such as joint research projects, scholarly conferences and exchange of curricular materials and research as appropriate.
Professor Dr Ali Saud Al-Bemani, Vice Chancellor SQU and Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Vice Chancellor UAF signed the MoU in the ceremony. The Ambassador of Oman in Pakistan His Excellency Mohammad Bin Said Bin Mohammad Al-Lawati also attended the ceremony. Both the Universities having a common interest in the fields of research, collaboration, teaching and student exchange program have agreed to effect their co-operation and co-ordination according to this Memorandum.
