33 prisoners released under Prime Minister's package

As many as 33 prisoners were released from Sindh jails after payment of a fine of Rs 1.6 million. The fines against them were paid and they were released from respective prisons under Prime Minister's special package whereby such prisoners who could not pay fine have been released from jails in the country.
Advisor to the Chief Minister for Jails, Gul Mohammed Jakhrani stated this. He was speaking on the occasion of release of prisoners from Central Jail here on Monday. He said that out of 33 prisoners released, 18 were let off from Central prison Karachi, 12 from Hyderabad, one from Sukkur and two from Khairpur. IG Prisons Mohammed Yamin Khan, DIG Prisons Colonel Tariq and Jail Superintendent Nusrat Mangan were also present on the occasion.
Out of 33 prisoners, three were foreigners belonging to Algeria, South Africa and Kenya. Gul Mohammed Jakhrani said that PPP has always supported the oppressed people and struggled for their rights.
He said the prisoners are also an oppressed class and, therefore, we will get them their due rights under jail manual and if there would any reform required, the same will also be done. Addressing the prisoners, the Advisor said that after their release they will live an honourable and noble life and keep themselves away from crimes.
