US MIDDAY: corn falls

July corn was down 2-1/2 cents at $5.97-1/4 per bushel, new-crop December down 2 cents at $6.25-1/4. Pressured by the retreat in crude oil. Outlooks for a warm-up in the US Corn Belt late this week also bearish.
But concerns linger about slow planting pace and emergence after heavy weekend storms and a drop in temperatures. Frost noted early Tuesday in North Dakota.
