Small business was seen on the grain market on Thursday as most of the commodity items drifted lower, dealers said. On the cereal side, wheat old and new rose by Rs 50 to Rs 2200 and 2215. Other commodities maintained the overnight levels in process slow business, they said.
On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh shed Rs 200 to Rs 4200, Basmati D-98 Shahdadkot shed Rs 100 to Rs 7500-7600, Basmati Bagr Jee and basmati no 386 lost same amount at the same rate, they said. Sugar better type was lower by Rs 40 to Rs 2960 while the low type did not show any change at Rs 2700 and gur, however, rose by Rs 100 to Rs 1700-2600 during the subdued business, they said.
