Rule of law is lifeline of Constitution and democracy: CJP opens Khairpur district court complex

The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar Saturday inaugurated the District Court Complex Khairpur and also laid foundation stone of District Court Bar room and District Court Bar Library under Access to Justice program.
Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Justice Azizullah A Memon, Justice Zawar Naqvi, Justice Muneeb Ahmed Khan and a large number of lawyers and office-bearers of the Sukkur, Khairpur, Naushehro Feroz, Ghotki, Shikarpur and other Districts participated in the ceremony.
Addressing the on the occasion the Chief Justice of Pakistan said," I am delighted because of the construction of Court building and I am very thankful to Asian Development Bank for financial support".
The CJP said that a few years back, the government of Pakistan, with assistance from the Asian Development Bank, launched the "Access to Justice Programme'. The programme envisaged, inter alia, the construction of new court buildings, residences for the judges and provision of necessary equipment to courts.
He said computers and laptops have been provided to the courts of Sindh, Rs 100 million have been spent on 11 new buildings of courts in Sindh and many other projects for provision of residential facilities for Judicial Officers have been completed.
The Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar said that salary of Judicial Staff have been increased and the same will be made more attractive in coming days. He announced that the courts buildings at Mirwah, Gambat and Kotdiji will be constructed. He further said that courts complexes are being constructed at Sukkur, Ghotki, Tharparkar, Sanghar, Jacobabad, Hyderabad, Thata Badin, Shikarpur, Mirpurkhas, Dadu and Kotdiji.
