Pakistan and Turkey enjoy close brotherly relations, particularly, Turkey's support for the rehabilitation of quake victims and the reconstruction of quake affected areas will be remembered as a gesture of goodwill.
This was stated by the Deputy Chairman, Earthquake Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Authority (Erra), Lieutenant General Sajjad Akram, while talking to the Ambassador of Turkey, Engin Soysal, who called on him here on Tuesday. He lauded the assistance and support of the government and people of Turkey in the construction of local government Project, which will serve as a landmark of traditional and long-term ties.
However, the ambassador, while welcoming the Deputy Chairman, Erra , on assuming office, assured him of continued support and assistance for the rehabilitation of life and reconstruction of infrastructure in affected areas in accordance with the commitments made by the people of Turkey.
