Six parties have participated in the Privatisation Commission pre-bid meeting for Hazara Phosphate Fertilisers (Private) Limited (HPFL) after they carried out their independent due diligence of the transaction.
The pre-bid meeting of the pre-qualified bidders for the acquisition of minimum of 90 percent shares of HPFL along with management control held here on Thursday with Ahmed Jawad, Secretary Privatisation Commission in the chair.
Pre-qualified parties who took part in the meeting were (i) Afzal Motors (Pvt) Limited (ii) Consortium of Akbar Brothers (iii) Consortium of Khawaja Bashir Ahmed Group (iv) Consortium of Kissan Chemicals & Fertilisers Limited (v) Pak American Fertilisers Limited and (vi) Warble (Pvt) Limited.
It was a move on the part of PC to create better understanding of the transaction and the bidding process besides responding to the queries of the potential bidders, said a press release of the PC issued on Thursday. The transaction manager and PC officials replied to the points raised during the meeting.
The PC had invited EoIs from prospective investors ie companies or consortia engaged in manufacturing or engineering business who can demonstrate the ability to own and efficiently manage and operate the Company. Eleven (11) parties submitted EoIs out of which nine (9) parties submitted the Statement of Qualification documents (SoQs).
