'Number of plants infield to ensure bumper crop'

Director Central Cotton Research Institute, Muhammad Arshad has said that farmers should keep the number of plants in their fields from 18000 to 23000 per acre to ensure good production. The suitable number of plants is the guarantee of a bumper crop.
He said that due to less number of plants in the fields all the efforts of the farmers go waste. Selection of seed, preparation of the land and the better performance of the drill should also be ensured, he maintained.
