A meeting of members of Hilal-e-Ahmar managing committee was held to discuss measures for enhancing the scope and funds of the welfare society to make it more effective.
The meeting was chaired by Mian Muhammad Hanif and attended by managing body members, Brigadier Yasoub Ali Dogar (Retd), Mahmood Akhtar, Dr Ejaz Bashir, Dr Rohia Mufidi, Bee Gee and Deputy Secretary Health Punjab, Nosheen Wasim, a press release said.
Akhtar observed that motivational campaigns by the youth will help broaden the Red Crescent scope at the local level, while convenor youth committee Dr Ejaz in his briefing talked about the organisation's youth health policy and its structural changes.
The meeting was told that provincial youth headquarters will be established in Lahore from where district youth boards will be co-ordinated and monitored. The chairman appreciated suggestions put forward by the members and called the next meeting on June 16.
